About Us
Perry’s was established in 1895 by F.N. Perry. In 1905 Perry’s started the first family wash service in the city. The service grew rapidly. The business was operated by the Perry family until 1925.
With several owners throughout the years, Perry’s was purchased by Domenic A. DeMunda in 1973. Prior to acquiring Perry’s, Dom and his family owned and operated another local cleaners since 1922. Perry’s was passed on to the 3rd generation owner, Grace DeMunda McGrath in 1985. The 4th generation, Andrew McGrath, is Supervisor of Operations.
Perry’s is a member of the Drycleaning & Laundry Institute, formerly the IFI, and the Greater Hartford Drycleaning Assoc. We are also Waterbury’s 1st Certified Environmental Drycleaner.
Perry’s has enjoyed the distinction of being a multi-year award winner for “Best Drycleaner in Waterbury” by the Waterbury Observer.
